But as time went on I started enjoying it less and less. Especially December of 2016 when I had knee surgery, a 9 month old and lots of orders. It was a good month but a bit of a stressful one.
It was actually during that time when I was laid up for knee surgery that I started watching Plan with Mes on YouTube. I was hooked into watching all these planner videos. It was then that I got the idea of making my own stickers for my bullet journal. I had a Silhouette already and I liked the idea of creating my own stickers.
I toyed with the idea but I didn't bring up the idea to my husband until the summer of 2017. He loved the idea of me finding a way to feel like I was contributing to our family more (I'm a stay-at-home mom) and doing something creative that I loved, especially since the jewelry shop wasn't doing it for me anymore.
So that's when I started working on creating Beautiful Mess Plans Co.
I opened the shop November 1, 2017 and found that I enjoyed the entire process quite a bit. And found that others were loving what I was creating. Like any business it had taken time to get things going, but I have enjoyed the process and have even have repeat customers and enjoy to keep me busy.
I currently sell kits sized for the Erin Condren Vertical, Erin Condren Horizontal, and the Classic Happy Planner. I am also working on sizing a select number of kits for the Classic Happy Planner Horizontal and hope to add more functional stickers in the future.
