Mega Shark Mega Bad Movie Night

  

Who else is excited about Mega Shark Mega Bad Movie Night! Yeah, you heard that right. Rob and I have our next Friday night planned out. I think I have mentioned that we are starting a new tradition of bad movie nights. Well, we started last week with Titanic 2 (yes I watched it for a second time) and 2010: Moby Dick (and yes if you're wondering, it does have a flying shark).  So next Friday night we are continuing our new tradition by watching Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus. Then we will round our mega bad movie night by watching  Mega Piranha. It will definitely be a mega night.

Now I realize that this is an odd way to spend our time. Why would we want to watch bad movies? Well for one they are funny. And two because we don't end of arguing over what movies we actually want to watch because we have such different tastes. And finally because it's just about R and I sitting down together and doing it together. And that's probably what's most important.

We actually enjoyed our last movie night with those two movies. I was mad about how stupid the people were and he was mad about how they completely messed up the rankings on both movies - I mean really people, how hard is it to at least google military ranking? But we laughed a lot and it was just fun to spend all evening next to each other on the couch making fun of these movies. It's actually a lot of fun.

Isn't it weird how people have different things that they love? Our bad movie nights to us are perfect but to someone else they are weird and boring. Even R and I have different things that we love. I love listening to music and dancing around the apartment, he loves to play video/computer games. I love racing on Mario Kart even though I'm terrible and he would much rather be shooting people. I could spend all day reading, he likes to mess with electronics and program computers. But it works. Somehow we work. It's funny how two completely different people can work so well.

So things like Mega Shark Mega Bad Movie Nights are perfect for us. Because it's not something we're arguing over because the only requirement for these nights are that the movies have to be bad (2 or less stars on netflix). Sounds like a perfect night to me.
