The One Where Everything Was Perfect...Until it Wasn't.

I have been to a lot of places. I have seen many things and done lots of different things. Growing up we always traveled and I loved it. I still love traveling. That being said, Maine is my favorite place I have ever been. It was beautiful and peaceful and laid-back and basically perfect.

My favorite place ever. I had the greatest lobster roll and clam chowder here. We ate there twice for dinner. I had my first ever lobster here and it was amazing.

We could have asked for a more beautiful spot for our honeymoon. There just aren't words to describe how beautiful and amazing it was. Pictures don't even come close to doing it justice. It was so unlike any landlocked town. Its a little how I imagined Stars Hallow to be only with a river and a coastline. I would definitely miss family but I could live in Maine. (No worries, we aren't moving there....yet).

More about the cottage to come....

But once Saturday came along, we had to leave our beautiful spot in Maine and head down to Boston. When we were first planning this trip we were excited about both places and the two weeks off. But after having the amazing Maine experience, our time in Boston has been a bit...stressful? Disappointing? Tiring? And we've only been here a day. On our way down from Maine yesterday we stopped by Salem which we enjoyed all the witchy stuff. But then we headed down to Boston. We knew it wasn't going to compare because we were going from a beautiful cottage to a Best Western but we weren't expecting this stellar view:

I know, I know you're jealous. It was definitely a step down. We got here and we both got this overwhelming desire to go home. I miss my Stella and my bed and my home. Our flight was supposed to be on Thursday but now it is on Tuesday so we can still attend a wedding in Plymouth on the 4th of July.  But we are excited to go home. We are ready to go home.

Maine was enough. Maine was perfect.

Rob leaves a week from this Friday so this also gives us opportunity to take care of some things we need to make sure we get taken care of before he leaves. So we are excited and ready. This has been a perfect honeymoon and we will definitely be returning to Maine and to the little cottage in Kennebunkport (anyone else thinking a one-year anniversary trip?).  But for now we are ready to go home. And I'm so ready to see my Stella Bella!
