Who's got style?

I detest my sense of style. I have a few outfits that I adore but for the most part I just don't like my clothes. I realize I sound like such a woman here - but hey if the shoes fits.... But before Rob starts worrying that I'm planning to throw everything away and start anew - even though I would love to - I'm most definitely not. If you refer back to an earlier post about our lack of funds and our attempts to save what little we have - 'Show me the money!' - that is pretty clear that we don't have any extra money to spend on a new wardrobe. Somehow I think eating is going to win out here.

But this blog is all about me us, and this just happens to be a topic currently plaguing my mind. So my question is: Am I just too afraid to actually buy the fashions I like? Do I just have a bad sense of style? How does everyone seem to dress better than me? Where do those people get their clothes? Is it my lacking funds or am I just not looking in the right place? Okay so maybe I have five questions.

I have been spending a lot of time on pinterest.com (which I love love love) and I have been looking at apparel and DIY clothes. Which has all caused me to start dreaming of a world where I actually have a sense of style - I do a lot of dreaming don't I?  

There are so many cute ideas out there. So what's wrong with me? Is it my lack of shopping skills? I don't know. So to compare here's my examples from my own closet:

So my outfit choices are not horribly horrible. I definitely don't have the worse sense of style, but I guess it's not the look I would love to go with. I mean who personally doesn't love the Army pants with the red shirt. Pretty awesome, right?! Yes I know my head is cut off in all of these because half of these my hair was not that great and then what - do I smile? Do I look serious? Plus there's a big camera in my face so I decided against showing my head. So for those of who you are wondering (or just are smart-butts) the headless horsemen did not get me.

So what's the point of any of this if I can't spend money? Not really sure to be honest. Just some thinking I've been doing. One day we will have money again and one day I will be able to improve my wardrobe. But for now I dream. Clothes shopping is definitely a luxury. But that doesn't mean I can't plan my next shopping trip. Maybe one day...right? But for now I just continue to wear my army pants.
