I only have a few more books left then I'm done with the Sookie Stackhouse series - that is if she doesn't come out with more. I think there's three more left - I own two, but not the last, most recent one because I have them all in paperback and I like for all my books in a series to match. That's not weird - that's perfectly normal.
Sookie is back to her normal life. She is actually involved in a local wedding and enjoying being away from the supernatural world, but all too fast she is pulled back into it. One night Eric calls and say that there is someone who would like to meet her. She agrees to go and learns that her great-grandfather is a fairy and still thriving. He decides that he wants to be involved in her life and wants to get to know her. Sookie agrees and is slightly overwhelmed by learning all these new things about her family. While her and Eric are on their way back, they are pulled over and a Were, impersonating a cop, tries to shoot her. Before she knows it she is in the middle of a Were war, which turned out to be nothing what anyone expected. As soon as that was resolved with the Weres, a new threat was upon the vampire community in Louisiana.
------------
This was a very busy book. There was a lot going on in this book. A little bit of all the supernatural communities were involved. I enjoyed it through. It wasn't quite as exciting and action intense as some of the other books, I still really enjoyed it. There was a bit more Sam/Sookie stuff and I always liked Sam.
