Mommy Fail

Addie is an awesome little girl. But unfortunately, my awesome little girl has decided that napping isn't for her anymore. I think she's teething a bit. I also think she is going through what they call the "4 month wakeful." Basically that all means that she is barely sleeping during the day. My once good napper is fighting to nap at all all day.

My tired, tired girl. Nothing was working. We rocked. We laid in the crib. We sat in the swing. We cuddled. We sang. We read. We tried everything. 

But all I got was crying, hungriness, and exhaustion. 

Until I turned on The Lorax. Then this. A quiet baby. 

So why is this a mommy fail? Because the way I got my tired kid to relax was to turn on netflix. Not exactly ideal. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

(Although in all fairness, she didn't cry all day.)

Oh and in case you were wondering, it took six hours for her to FINALLY fall asleep. No begging required. But lots of laughter before hand. Babies are funny. They don't come with a rule book, but they form their own rules. And then suddenly the change the rules on you, like it or not.

So if I don't write a few days here and there, don't blame me. My 3.5 month old is refusing to nap right now.
