Our Father's Day in Photographs

Aka A Day for Our Favorite Fella

However, this day turned out to be more of an evening for our favorite fella. It's not my fault, so don't go all finger pointing that I dropped the ball. You can thank the United States Marine Corps for this one. The hubs had to go to the pistol range that day to get re-qualified. Oy, the life of being married to a Marine. Although I wouldn't trade it for the world.

So Addison and I spent most of the day just the two of us. We went to church. We had lunch, which she didn't eat. We played. She didn't nap. I lost my mind. Then we watched movies. What else do you do with a 20-month that wouldn't nap and wants her daddy on daddy's day?!

But that didn't mean we didn't have a good Father's Day we did spend together. Things didn't go quite like we would have liked or wanted but hey that's the Marines.

It definitely wasn't the day that I had hoped for. I didn't get to see him until 6:30 that evening. Addison refused to nap and cried at me all day. Rob didn't get to relax on this Father's Day. But he's still a darn good father. In fact he's a darn good man. He's my hero. He's our little girl's hero. He's superman. He'll deny that fact until he's blue in the face but that man means the world to a certain little girl and me.

  1. I love that first picture of the two of them with that sheepish grin on Addison's face! That totally stinks though that he had to work... boooo. (Love the ever so popular Marine tan lines) Good thing is, there will be plenty more father's days to make up for it! xo, Sarah @movingeastonwest
