Four on the Fourth

1. I made spaghetti a couple weeks ago. I made the sauce ready and was pouring the spaghetti into the
boiling water when I noticed something weird in the pot. I tried to fish it out when I noticed there were bugs inside the spaghetti container I just took it from. The bugs were dead when they hit the boiling water but it was digesting. Before long there were close to eight bugs crawling up where I could see them inside my spaghetti container. I freaked out and we decided to eat out. We have no idea what kind of bugs they were but I haven't wanted spaghetti since. We had had the same spaghetti the week before and there were no bugs so we think there were eggs in the box and when Rob turned the box upside down and emptied it into my airtight container they dropped in and then hatched while they were in there. They couldn't escape and the rest of my food in the pantry seems fine, but I was freaked. It still gives me chills thinking about it!

2. So we had some Dairy Queen a week or so ago which was delicious. We got home and had to put Addison straight down to bed, so I took both our ice creams and put them in the freezer. Rob put his tall, red, plastic spoon into his and without thinking I put it in the freezer. Usually not an issue, but this time it was. We didn't end up getting back to them that night but a day or so later we did. I opened the freezer and it looked like it snowed in our freezer. What had happened was that our freezer was closed but the spoon was up higher than I realized and it ended up breaking the seal. Causing the snow. Oops...

3. Saw this and it is totally true. I read it to the hubs and his response was "truth dat!" Then he started questioning me how that is something that all kids know to do and something they all end up doing. I spent a lot of times avoiding the lava growing up. My bed was also a boat in the ocean and sometimes my stuffed animals would jump or fall off the boat and I would have to rescue them. Let's just say I'm a hero!

4. Last weekend we went to the mall to walk around and get out of the house. While we were there Addison got excited about the carousel. We decided to let her ride, so we went downstairs and took her over. The lady running the ride asked how old she was and was really nice. Rob was going to get the token Addison needed while I followed Addison around the carousel while she pointed out the different animals. I saw Rob talking to the lady and I couldn't figure out what was going on. But I didn't think much of it until it was time for them to ride. I watched while Rob and Addison went around. She loved it. I noticed the lady kept giving me a weird smile and look while I watched them. Then the ride ended and we met back up. Rob told me that the ride was free. I first thought it was because of her age then realized that made no sense then he told me it was because of her braces. I was confused. He said that the lady told him that the owner knows how much medical bills can costs and wants all kids to get a chance to ride. Even though the $3 wouldn't have killed us, it was so completely sweet. She could ride as much as she wanted all day. It made me want to cry because it is a really kind thing to do.
