Addison Sophia: 29 Months

Dear Addie::

I feel like I just wrote your 28 month letter to you and here I am writing your 29 month letter. I have always heard that time flies by, but I never realized how quickly the time was going to fly by. I never realized you would grow up and change so quickly. But here I am writing your 29 month letter.

I think each month you get more fun. And things have been even more fun thanks to the nice weather. We can finally get outside and you are loving it. You are able to play and run. We draw pictures using sidewalk chalk. We blow bubbles. We swing in the back yard. We chase the ball around the backyard. We ride in your car. We go on walks. We play in your sled in the front yard. You love being outside and I can't blame you. Being outside is awesome.

Although it's not all fun and games. It's also a bit dramatic. You are at the age where you have into the dramatics. Everything is a big deal. Lately it feels a little like having a teenager. The mood swings are a killer. And when something happens, you go a little over the top in your reaction. You have also started doing things on purpose then getting upset. I have learned that if I stay indifferent than you turn to turn it down a couple of notches but the flair for the dramatics is definitely there.

One of your favorite things to do is walking into a room and turning on the light. You flip it on then hold our your arms and say "ta da." It's adorable. And mostly you have started turning off the lights when you leave the room now too. You have also figured out how to open and close doors. I'm not always such a fan of that because more than once you have gotten in trouble for playing with the doors. After the first couple of weeks playing with the newness of figuring it out, you have finally gotten over it. However, that means nothing is safe. I can't hide things behind closed doors anymore.

You have been doing a lot more talking. It's still coming along slowly but the words are coming out. I love to listen to you. I just wish I could understand everything you are saying. A lot of it is still nonsensical, but you are getting there. I'm proud of how far you have already come.

You are growing so fast. You are too big for all of our summer clothes from last year. Your hair is coming in and started to smooth down. You have lost all your baby looks, and look like a big girl. You are growing too fast and I have a hard time believing how much you have changed. I miss all those baby snuggles but I love the big girl you have become. You are pretty awesome.

I love you so much little girl.

Love, Mama
