The Girl With a Dozen Nicknames // Happy Friday

Maybe this is just an us thing but we rarely call each other by our real names around here. We use our real names so rarely that it is actually really weird to hear my husband use my name. I mean that's weird right? I use his name more than he uses mine, but often I use variations of his name ranging from R.G. to Evans to the full Robin Gerald.

But this post isn't really about the names we call each other. It's about the nicknames we use for our kid. You know the one. Cute, tall, and goes by the name of Addison. Although the truth is that you could call her just about anything and she would probably answer.

I don't know when we picked up on using so many different names for her. When we chose the name Addison, I had always planned on the nickname Addie, but I never thought about any other nicknames. Although before we knew if she was a boy or girl when I was pregnant with her, we did use to call her Poppy, which I guess was her first nickname.

And now she has a lot, so for this Friday here's just a few that she is affectionately known as in this house:

+Kicky McKickerson, Whiny McWhinerson (we have a thousand variations, pick a verb and there you go!)
