Seven on the Seventh

1. For Palm Sunday a couple Sundays ago, our church gives palm branches to the kids and they march around the sanctuary during the first song (a pretty common thing for most churches). We started singing the first song and the kids start coming in then we see Miss Betty (the main nursery worker) holding hands with a slightly confused Addison. It almost made me start crying because she's just a big girl. She wasn't exactly sure what she was doing but she did great with her palm branch and going around the sanctuary. It was adorable. I'm just happy we managed to get the Royals baseball hat off her when we got there.

2. For about a week we had something banging on the metal part of our chimney which was actually really loud in our room. No clue what was causing the metal to vibrate but it was really annoying. But it seems to finally have stopped.

3. Rob took some time off last week so he gave me some time, including time to go to the movies to see Insurgent. I miss going to the movies by myself. It's something I used to do all the time before the kid came along. The movie was almost over and it was loud, and my first thought was that I needed to turn the volume down because it was too loud and was going to wake up the kid. Welcome to the world of being a parent I guess.Or maybe just the world of being a crazy parent who spends all day with her kid and completely forgot where she was.

4. I wear a cross-body purse and I was thinking the other day about how someone could just grab my wallet out of my purse because sometimes I wear it behind me. Then I realized that I have so much Addison stuff on top of my wallet that I would notice because they would have to do so much digging. Between the water, puppy, snacks, and anything else Addison requires me to carry around, I would be impressed if someone got my wallet out of the bottom. Imagine my stress when I try to get my wallet out of my purse just to pay for something, so I can't imagine someone doing it quietly and quickly behind me.

5. Lately I have had the overwhelming desire to go running. And trust me that is so far from me. I hate running. I mean I seriously hate it, plus it's hard on my already bad knees. But for some reason I have been waiting too. I think it's more just me wanting to get back to exercising which I have been a little lax on lately.

6. Sometimes I get lazy and don't get the jelly out, so I just make a peanut butter sandwich for Addie. Sometimes I add the jelly. She doesn't seem to mind either way. She does like it cut in triangles more than squares however.

7. Usually it doesn't take me long to fill up one of these because apparently I have a lot of random thoughts. But this time I stared at the screen for the seriously an hour coming up with nothing. But look this is item number seven. Although it feels cheap to use this as my seventh one. Whatever, it's true and a random thought.
