Two Ladies & Their Gents: Fall 2016

It's been awhile since I have done an update. Time has gotten away from me and I completely skipped the one this summer. I guess that alone will give you an update. Having a baby and a preschooler in the house has been an adjustment which I'm still adjusting to (yes I know Connor is 7 months and you'd have thought I would have had it down by now). But anyway, I thought I would do a quick update on everyone since it's been awhile since I have done one.

Rob

He's still working his bum off (yes we say bum in this house and it has now started carrying over to the rest of my world - don't judge!) at Garmin. He's been busy trying to get his feature ready for the next project. Quiet frankly I listen to him when he updates me on how things are going but it's all a bit confusing for me so I can't really relate it back (not that I should anyway). Mostly that's what's been going on in his world. He works hard all day then comes home and rocks as a dad. There are two little kids who are thrilled when he walks through the door every evening.

Becca

The biggest thing in my world is definitely my shop (Our Beautiful Mess Shop)! It's going well. I've been open just a day or so shy of two months and I've had about 16 sales. I know to some people that's nothing but for me that's a lot and more than I expected so I'm thrilled. I'm working on new projects and promotions and all things business when I have a moment of peace (which is rare in this house with two small kids). I'm definitely working on finding the balance to starting a business and working at home while still homemaking and being a stay at home mom. But I'm loving the business and creating necklaces and feeling like I have an identity separate than just a mom these days.

Addison

She is seriously loving school! She can't wait to go back every day. All weekend long she bugs me about going back to school. She is making friends and has blown her last IEP goals out of the water. She is talking so much and also being a serious threenager. I love her but sometimes when she comes home tired she is a handful. She is doing awesome though and her only compliant would be that she's not at school long enough.

Connor

He is growing up so fast. I just recently did an update on him (read his 7 month letter here). He is trying to army crawl. He actually just said mama yesterday for the first time. He is eating like a champ. He has four teeth. He is easily wearing 18 month clothes and loves to play. He's recently got into throwing everything off his high chair and looking under his toys to see what's under there. He is happy all the time and sleeping is finally better after that front tooth cut through.

Stella

She's a bit of pain. She doesn't get as much attention as she used to and that makes her whiny. We have our hands full with two attention-seeking kids but she still tries to get as much attention as she can whenever she can.
