Our Beautiful Mess: A Day in the Life: 4.8 Year & 16 Month Edition

7:01 -- Alarm goes off and I want to just hide under the covers and sleep!

7:08 -- Connor is making noise so I get up and shower. However I see a message from a customer on my shop and I move a little faster in order to take care of that before my mom life begins.

7:22 -- Got to be a shop owner first this morning.

7:38 -- Rob goes to say good morning to Connor before he leaves. He even gets him breakfast while I finish up what I was working on.

7:50 -- I sit down for breakfast with the little guy. Rob even joins us. Addie is still sleeping.

7:57 -- Rob leaves for work.

8:08 -- Connor's done eating and on the move. Playtime rules the day!

8:15 -- I hear Addie talking and playing but no sign of her. She'll pop up when she's good and ready.

8:22 -- Apparently she's now good and ready - ready for breakfast too.

8:44 -- Addie's done eating and transitioned to playing with Connor.

8:52 -- The kids continue to play while I head upstairs to clean bathrooms and just do a general clean-up. The buyers want to come again and we aren't exactly happy about it but it is what it is at this point. It is all made worst for me since I don't feel all that great today. Bad night of sleep maybe.

9:52 -- I finish up all the cleaning I'm going to do at this point. The kids are still making a huge mess in the kitchen so I sit down to put up a special Tuesday blog post and put together a Target list. And in case you were wondering - no they aren't dressed yet. Connor is just in his diaper which is just as well since Addie got out all the arts & crafts and he's covered in stamp ink. Addie's chilling in her PJs and Royals hat.

10:01 -- Little boy came for a snack. Addie is still creating!

10:21 -- Connor has started the pacing part of his day. Addie came down but is still drawing. I really need to get them dressed but walking upstairs isn't high on my list of things I want to do.

11:03 -- Addie is content but Connor is spending a lot of time whining today - no clue why. Addie randomly stops what she's doing, runs at him, and makes a bunch of noise. It seems to make him stop so whatever.

11:26 -- Finally getting dressed. The beauty of summer I guess - staying in pajamas (or in Connor's case, no clothes at all) all day. Addie heads back downstairs and Connor looks at books.

11:47 -- Lunch. Connor loves his chicken nuggets and Addie loves her PB&J. I usually have a Lean Cuisine. I'll admit I'm in a lunch rut - I never know what to eat.

12:08 -- Done eating and back to playing.

12:48 -- Naptime. We go upstairs to read together first.

12:57 -- And down. Thank goodness. I need a nap. I'm not feeling much better.

3:15 -- Addie's up. I want to nap more. But Connor is awake too.

3:22 -- I bring Connor down. They both sit down and have a snack.

Then the spend the rest of the time before dinner playing aka making more mess. The fun today seems to be taking out every shoe they can find.

4:58 -- I head upstairs to start dinner.

5:21 -- Dinner. We went simple but with a favorite of smoked sausage, corn and buttered bread. Simple is about all we do these days especially since we are eating on paper plates.

5:39 -- We are done with dinner. I start cleaning up from dinner and the kids are running around.

5:45 -- Rob's home.

After he finishes eating we finish cleaning up. The kids are mostly at odds with each other. Connor hasn't done much but cry this afternoon. I'm going to start crying soon too. (Sidenote: He is getting his last two teeth in all fairness to him.)

6:10 -- We turn on the Royals game to pass the time. The house is as good as we care to get it and we have a little time before we need to leave.

6:45 -- Load'em up and head to Target.

7:40 -- Back home again.

7:49 -- Time to start getting ready for bed. They both want daddy tonight. Lately Connor has been wanting me but not tonight.
