Well it's probably no shock to find out that this week was rough. I have been dealing with all things gestational diabetes this week and it has definitely been challenging. It's been hard dealing with food and trying to figure out what works since my numbers have definitely been hard to control. That was definitely been central this week which includes throwing up one day for lunch and not being able to eat anything else. Like I said it's been rough. But you passed your non-stress test ultrasound so despite my high numbers you are doing good. Other than food I am very tired. I'm getting up about four times a night and that's getting old fast. It' hard to get comfortable because I'm just uncomfortable at this point and struggling to find any position that's comfortable. I am definitely fighting lots of aches and pains at this point. There is nothing good about gestational diabetes. It's kind of nice to know that there is an eviction date for little miss since she will be delivered by 39 weeks. But other than that it all pretty miserable. However with gestational diabetes I have to go in for weekly biophysical ultrasounds so basically I get to see her on a weekly basis. A biophysical ultrasound is basically a non-stress test for her. She has four things that they look for each week and she has to do those certain things in 30 minutes otherwise it's a trip to the hospital to have her more closely monitored. They look for movement, her heart rate, the amniotic fluid, and if she is practicing her breathing. In addition to that every three weeks she has a weigh check since babies can put on weight too fast when you have gestational diabetes. So far we have had two of these ultrasounds and it's been nice to see her each week.
