We don't have kids. Everyone knows that. And no we aren't expecting one anytime soon, and no I'm not going to tell you when you should be expecting a family from us. We might not currently have kids but we do have a Stella cat. And I am nuts about that girl.
When we first got her last winter, she was tiny and her name was Ming Ming. I didn't like her. Rob however loved her at first sight and convinced me, promising me that I could change her name. I hate that name for her. So we got her and she was scared. We barely saw her, so I was glad that I got a collar with a bell just so we could find her. Over time, she's gotten out of her shell and has even come out a couple times when we've had company, which is rare.
She is quirky. All animals do weird things and Stella is definitely no different. She likes to go through my purse everyday. We don't know what she's looking for. I don't even have gum or mints or anything the like in my purse yet she goes through it. We've tried to buy her toys but she loves my ponytail holders the most. She has a shelf in the bathroom closet that she loves to lay on. Even when the door is closed to the bathroom she pushes her way in. She whines every single time I get out of the shower. She sleeps on top of me whenever Rob is gone. She adores him, but gets so annoyed with him while he's here. It's a love-hate relationship, but she's totally crazy about him. And he loves her just as much. She loves sitting in windows, like most cats, but she has certain windows she sits in during certain times of the day.
Stella is the perfect name for her. And Stella is the perfect cat for us. She's funny and loving and quirky, so she fits right in with us. She's basically my kid right now and life would be sad without Stella. And since she's my kid, I decided to write this blog post and I even included pictures for your viewing pleasure!
