Oh that Sookie. She's always finding some kind of trouble to get herself into. The shifters of the area are finding themselves being gunned down. The police haven't been able to put it together because they don't realize they are all shifters, but the supernatural community is well aware of the crisis. And the top suspect on the list is Jason, Sookie's brother, who finds himself among the supernatural community now after being bitten by a werepanther. After Sam is among those shot, he sends Sookie to Eric to "borrow" a bartender, which she comes back with Charles. He's only been working at Eric's bar for two weeks, and he takes on the persona of a pirate. He's an instant hit at Merlotte's. Sookie also finds herself in the middle of the fight for a new packmaster in Alcide's pack. And things only get worse for her when she finds herself shot and trying to reveal the mystery behind why the bullet that hit Sam was different than the one that has hit all the other shifters and Sookie.

There sure is a lot of things that happen to Sookie. I guess that's what makes these books an entertaining read. Clearly if I didn't enjoy them I wouldn't still be reading them. They are entertaining. I definitely have my favorite characters. I do like Alcide, although he keeps getting more and more distant. Sam is another one of my favorites. He is always there and so loyal and faithful. Eric is definitely entertaining to read, but honestly I don't care much for Bill. This world is definitely an interesting one and I enjoy being involved in it.
