Yesterday, I told you a charming tale of how when Rob and I pick something out - usually something that has taken us awhile to decide on - it never goes as planned (check out here). And I told you yesterday that the story wasn't over yet, of course not. Buying the rocking chair was just the first step. Now we had to put the chair together....again, when I say weI don't exactly mean we, I really mean that wonderful husband of mine. But hey I was in the room...
Despite who was doing what, somehow we had to get the chair from inside this box to something usable.
Despite the face he's making, the chair putting-together was actually going pretty well. Once he got past the bottom part, the rest of cake. And before he knew it, it was all put together and looking awesome in its spot, considering the spot started out looking like this....
But like I said, this chair came with a table and an ottoman. The table was a breeze to put together compared to the chair.
And I can proudly say that I handled the ottoman.
Never mind the fact that all I had to do was take the plastic off and turn it over. Still did it all by myself!
And the finished product...
Looks pretty good, right? I love it. The chair is super comforty, which will be perfect for those late, long nights. What do we think? We are one step closer to Addison's room being put together and ready to go for her arrival in just five and half weeks. I'll say it again because it's pretty unbelievable - Addison is coming in give and half weeks!
And in honor of my amazing husband, I want to leave you with a little song that I have deemed his theme song in life.....Enjoy!
