Jane Lindsay's world was rocked upside and backwards when her husband, Brad, packs up, tells her they need space, and leaves. She does everything she can to hold it together, but she finds herself losing herself and wondering about decisions she made in her life. While sorting through some boxes sent to her from her English friend for her antique shop she discovers a ring. It captures her attention, especially since it has her name inscribed inside, and her journey of finding out about the ring and herself begins.
Lucy Day begins her work as a dressmaker for Lady Jane Grey and they become fast friends, or as much as two from two very different classes can become friends. Lucy watches as Jane's life is turned upside down time and time again from forces outside her control. But finally, and too late, Jane discovers she has control over her life after all.

This book was much better than I was expecting actually. I don't know why I was expecting a book I wouldn't enjoy but I enjoyed it immensely. I like the mix of history with fiction. It was a fairly quick read and one I would read again.
