Book two of The Chronicles of Narnia. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy find their way to Narnia through a Wardrobe in the Professor's house, where they were sent in order to get away from the city and the nightly bombings during WWII. While in Narnia they discover that they and they alone can save Narnia from the White Witch, who is keeping it winter (with no Christmas). But with their arrival the whole Narnia changes and Aslan is now on the move. With the help of Aslan, the four children learn of their true place as kings and queens of Narnia and defeat the White Witch.
All of these books are excellent. This book is very good. It's a quite an easy read and a book that is easy to enjoy.
On a quick note, this is my second to last book in order to complete my 2012 Reading Challenge. Anyone else impressed that I have done as well as I have with a newborn? I certainly am!
