Something Solid

My little girl is growing up so fast! So fast that she is now eating solids. She is just a few days shy of 5 months and we decided it was time. On The Bump where I keep up with the October 2012 Mom boards, there is a lot of controversy about when to actually start solids. There are a lot who believe that you should not start solids until 6 months. Well, for all who are "not until 6 months" people, you might want to stop reading because my baby who is not quite 5 months has been started on solids.

We decided it was time for a couple reasons. I have tried to stretch out her eating times to 3 hours, but that barely happens most days. She needs more to fill that little tummy, which was the major reason for the decision to go ahead and start solids.

I could go over details and the whys, but wouldn't pictures be cuter?

So even though the pictures look like she's unhappy, she liked loved the rice cereal. She looked so unhappy because she was impatient. She didn't understand why it was taking so long between spoonfuls. Otherwise she loved it, and knew exactly what to do. Oh my goodness, she is growing up so fast!
