The Captain and His First Mate

When we found out that Rob was being promoted to Captain, I was so excited for him. However, we weren't expecting Rob to get promoted so early. You can read about his promotion here. So clearly, he's already been promoted and not this spring like we originally thought. We thought we would have a 6 month old, not me still pregnant.

When we found out he was getting promoted and we were talking about when it might be, we were walking around Target. And that's what I saw it. The perfect thing for this promotion.

Such a cute onesie! I though it would be funny. Rob would be a Captain. Granted, not the same kind of Captain, but seriously you got to admit that it's kind of clever. Rob groaned and moaned about it and we didn't get it. But later when we went back, we got the onesie after he finally admitted that it would be funny.

But alas, he was promoted before she was even born ruining my cute plan.

She has spent many days since wearing this onesie, but that dang promotion just had to come early. Well, no matter when she wears this, she is definitely his first mate. He is awesome with her and she is crazy about him.
