You're playing with Addison in the sitting room. You're feeling a little crummy due to the cold you are recovering from, so while she entertains herself you lay back and close your eyes just for a second (seriously, just a second or two - you can't leave a 15 month to her own devices, who knows what she'll do). You open your eyes because it was oddly quiet, you no longer hear the wooden blocks that she was playing with hitting each other as she kicked and toss them around to her heart's content. And there is she, kneeling right next to her, pulling herself up to her full height, hands above her head, one block in each hand, a glint of delight in her eyes. And you know what's coming. You know those blocks are going to hurt when she releases them, which she does a second later. Luckily you were quick enough to get your hands to her face before they hit but that didn't lessen the pain of the corner of wooden block as it hits you. Then she starts bouncing waiting for you to return the blocks back to her so you can continue playing catch.
It was frightening. But pretty dang cute.
Replace those empty wrapping rolls with some wooden blocks and yikes!
What an adorable goober.
Have a great weekend.
Happy Friday!
