Date Night Take Two

Have you ever had the feeling that something just wasn't meant to be?

Waking up to an icy world outside on Saturday morning was starting to give us the impression that a date just wasn't going to happen....again! Our original date was supposed to be last Saturday, but due to sickness we had to postpone. So we pushed it off a weekend.

But alas, things weren't so bad. My parents made their way over and we were able to head out. We left Addison is great hands with only a tiny bit of whimpering, and headed out. It's no secret that my favorite place to eat is Carrabba's and that was exactly where we headed. We decided to do an early dinner so we could go to a movie too, without it being too late or too crowded. I tend to get tired and I don't like crowds.

Arriving at Carrabba's early was perfect. We didn't have to wait for a table or for our food. Our food by the way was delicious. I'm not going to lie, I miss going out to eat there more regularly than we do now (not really a great place for the kiddo). The food is always amazing and well-worth the money (which by the way was a hundred times better than the other place we chose to go and only cost a couple dollars more).

We finished eating a lot faster than we expected, so we decided to head over to Target, one of our favorite places in the world, to kill some time before our movie. It was strange being there without Addison. It was just like the whole days. We decided to pick up a couple snacks there which would be cheaper than getting it at the theater...I mean...snacks for later when we got home....

We headed over to the theater, which was less crowded than I expected for a Saturday night. But that was fine by me because again I'm not big on the crowds. We got our popcorn and drink and headed into the theater. Where we snapped this beauty...

It's dark and off-center but I did the best I could considering we were sitting in a dark theater (we saw 'Saving Mr. Banks' by the way - it was good).

It was an awesome night out. I forgot how nice it was to go out just the two of us. We love our daughter but it's nice to just be husband and wife and not mama and dada.
