Anywho, today is Halloween and this year for the first time we decided to take Addie trick-or-treating. We're only going to go to a couple houses right around us before coming home to hand out candy, but we figured she would have fun so why not?
Addison's first Halloween she was about 16 days old, so we didn't do much. We handed out some candy and watched some movies. I did my best to dress her up though. She was a science officer from Star Trek. Okay so it was a blue onsie with a sticker, but hey she was 16 days old.
Is that the same girl? Look how little she was! I just can't get over this tiny little girl.
The next year she was one year and 16 days. And unfortunately she had her one year appointment that day, which means she got like five shots and a blood draw. Let's just be honest, she didn't have a good day last Halloween. But my girl is always a trooper.
So knowing that was going to happen, I didn't exactly spend a lot of time thinking about a costume. So she was a ballerina or a sort. So okay I was really lazy last year...
Look at that chubby girl. That's quite a difference from a tiny, under-weight girl to a girl who's in the 99 percentile.
But this year I have a walker. I have a girl who is learning how to say 'Boo' (trick-or-treat is a little too challenging for a girl who doesn't even say mama). I have a girl who's going to actually dress up in a costume, although I'm not sure she'll like it. I guess we'll find out. Of course I'll find out sooner than you will since you have to wait until Monday to see how our Halloween actually went.
Anyway, the point of all this other than a walk down memory lane with my beautiful girl is that it's Halloween. So have fun. Be safe. Eat some candy (because Addie sure won't be...).
Happy Halloween!
Have a great weekend!
Happy Friday!
