She had a blast. She didn't really understand what was happening at first. She was surprised at the first house but by the second house she was saying "Boo!" Of course, she took the candy out of her bucket and put it into the candy bag at that house, but we reclaimed that candy back, plus some. She was starting to figure it out. We only went to a couple of house because it was cold and she was basically done. Trick-or-treating is not that big for a two-year-old. So we went home and handed out candy, which she loved as much as trick-or-treating. An adorable pirate around Addie's age came to the door and they smiled and wave at each other. The dad told the pirate to say 'thank you' but the kid was silent until the dad asked him what a pirate says. The kid said 'arrrr, matey.' It was seriously adorable.
We ended our evening handing out candy and watching Hocus Pocus. We are already looking forward to next year (and a costume she doesn't hate). I hope everyone had a great Halloween!
Check out the glass. Yup, that crayon. I was cooking dinner and Addie drew on the door. Luckily it came right off. |
