It was five years ago that the man who would become my husband and I went on our first date. Neither of us being expert daters were both awkward. I was nervous so I rabbled. He walked funny and talked softly (although he swears he didn't walk funny but admitted to some soft talking). But despite those things, a relationship bloomed and less than a year later we were engaged. Then less than a year after that we were married. And let me tell you it has been a heck of a five years. We have fought, we have loved, we created a beautiful little girl, we have worked, we have cried, we have laughed. Good, bad, and everything in between, we have gone through it together.
Five years ago today I met the man who would so compeletely change my life. He became my best friend. He became my world. He has made me happy. He has frustrated me. He has made me laugh. He has given me the desire to wring his neck. He has become my other half.
I have had some amazing days in life. But one of my favorites, despite all of our awkward, is this day five years ago.
It's been a heck of a five years. I love that man with everything I have. Thanks for an awesome five years, love. The best thing I have ever done was send you a "wink" all those years ago and go on a date with you five years ago today.
