Dear Addie::
Could you just stop growing? We are getting closer to you turning three and I'm not ready for that so I need you to slow down just a little bit. You are just changing so quickly and I have a hard time keeping up these days. It seems that every day you wake up and you have learned something new.
But what I really love is that every day you wake up and you are talking more. Every day your words are becoming more clear. There's a fair amount of words that I'm pretty much the only one that understands, but so many more that other people understand. You are even starting to say phases too. But you are a practical, logical girl. You talk when you find the purpose. You aren't going to tell me cow just for the sake of saying cow. I don't care your reason for talking, I'm just happy you're talking.
You love being outside these days. Grandma and Papa just built you your clubhouse and you love it. Every time we are out in the backyard you squeal and laugh and run around. You get so excited. You are also getting over your fear of slides and starting to go down the slide even. And every single time we go outside or anywhere for that matter you wear your Royals hat. It's hard to get you out of it; you love it so much.
These days your rarely spend any time in timeout. We have learned that you just need time to make the decision yourself. We get down to your level and we talk about what the problem is. And if you were angry and made a mess then we clean up the mess. Or if you want something then we figure out what that is. You just want to have your opinion heard or make me understand what you are trying to say. If there is something you aren't happy about doing, I talk to you on your level ad you tend to come around. And it always goes better when you make the decision yourself.
Lately you have been a little stubborn about food. You would just snack all day if I let you. I've been trying to change things up lately so you aren't so bored with your food. But you are mostly just a big fan of popcorn and goldfish. That's probably our biggest fight every day to find something that you will actually eat.
You are at the stage where you are just funny. Your face expression say so much. You are talking more. You sing along with music. You dance or you make puppy dance. You love pretend play. Mostly you just love your trains, and will spend hours playing with choo-choo.
I'm so lucky that I get to spend every day with you. We have our rough days but mostly they are good. I love spending my days with you. You are an amazing little girl. And I love all that you are.
