2. The end of nap time always makes me sad. I love my monster but there are days that I'm just loving the break I get.
3. Did you know that you can now subscribe to my blog via email. That's right?! I added a feature that gives you the chance to enter your email to get my blog sent right to your email. 4. The other night Addison wouldn't give me hug at bedtime. Instead I got a handshake. Toddlers are funny.
5. One day a few months ago, my parents were here and we were talking about movies. My dad made a comment, while talking about a movie, that Morgan Freeman died. I didn't say anything at the time because I felt like a dummy for not knowing. Later I looked it up to discover that Morgan Freeman is alive and well. My dad was talking about his character not himself. I was so distressed about the the death of Morgan Freeman, only to realize that he's fine.
6. A few weeks ago we went to Monkey Bizness with the play group to play. Addie was having a blast. She was playing on a little plastic play place with a slide when the power went out. It was pitch black in there. Luckily we all have cell phones with flashlights. She was scared but did fine. We left and didn't think much of it. But since that, she has refused to go down any slide. We have to force her and she started crying and whining immediately. She has put together going down a slide and it getting dark. Poor girl is now scared of slides!
7. I've been watching a lot of baseball lately. I actually love watching baseball. When I was younger we went to a Royals game and sat by the dugouts. I don't remember anything about the game, who we played or if we won, but after the game I remember standing by the dugout while my parents talked to someone. While standing there, there was a player (not a Royal) who was walking to the dugout who rolled me a game ball. There was an older boy standing nearby with a glove who made a move for it, but the player pointed me out and rolled it right to me. I still have it and my dad wrote down the name and number of the player who gave me the ball. By hey how about those 2015 Royals?!
8. This weekend my parents came over and we built Addie her clubhouse. It's pretty awesome and she's pretty excited. We still have to put the roof on it but she is loving it.
9. I've been watching a show called Air Disasters lately. It's really interesting and the chance of being in a plane crash is pretty small but let's be honest I have small percentage luck and all that is bad luck, so I don't think I'm going to get on a plane any time soon.
10. We went to see The Cat in the Hat at The Coterie last Thursday with our Mommy & Me group. Addison loved it. She laughed, clapped, and literally sat on the edge of her seat the whole time. The drive back in the pouring rain was a bit stressful but it was worth it because she absolutely loved it! (And I absolutely love this picture! I mean look at that smile!)
11. I got really confused the other night with minutes and hours. We had 108 hours of HD recording space left on our DVR. I saw Rob had a movie set to record which was 2 hours, which I saw as 120 minutes. Which in my brain equaled that it needed more space than we had available. I got worried about space and what it was going to delete. Rob told me that it was only going to take about 1% of the space. I heard him and let it go. It wasn't until over an hour later that it finally clicked that if we have 108 hours left and it was 2 hours which leaves us with tons of space still. I was so confused for a long time though. Minutes and hours are confusing.
12. We go to the local elementary school in the evening to let her play on the playground there when we go on our walk. I recently got new shoes, which I loved. I learned that my shoes pick up all the rocks and make me feel like I have tap shoes while I'm walking. It's annoying to get out of my shoes but the kid loves the playground.
