Six on the Sixth

1. Couple weeks ago Addison had a dentist appointment. I hate taking her to the dentist because they always run so slow so I decided to do a really early appointment so maybe we could get through faster. Addison does okay but Connor gets antsy (not that I blame him). It just so happened to be the first day of school so they were so super slow at 8:15 in the morning (I had to wake both kids up by the way). It was also a rainy day. I get them out the door and and get them going. We get there with about ten minutes to spare or so. We walk into the building and I fall. It's my first fall since the surgery and I survived. Of course I was in a stupid amount of pain but I was okay. My right foot slipped and I landed on my butt - I was also carrying Connor. I ended up with a bruise on my knee, hurt pride, and some decent pain in my knee for the rest of the day but all was okay. Dang dentist appointment.

By the way that picture doesn't do that bruise justice because it was huge! And look at that scar and lack of quad muscle - yikes!

2. I have something brand new coming to the shop this Friday! I have fabric button earrings which is where I started way back when. But mostly I just sell necklaces - news flash for anyone who didn't know - but now I am adding in some other accessories. And because I love my blog so much, I'm sharing a sneak peek of some of the new products. I will have a few more in the next few months but this is just something new for now. Also if you ever have a suggestion of something you want to see in the shop rather that is a new kind of charm or design for a necklace or some other kind of accessory, definitely let me know and I will definitely try to get that into the shop!

3. I have been some kind of reading rut lately. I have read 25 of my 30 books for the year but lately I have just had trouble sitting down a reading, which is really unlike me. Not to say that I'm not still reading but it is definitely taking me longer to get through the book these days. Focus seems to be hard to come by for me.

4. I now have to drive to do drop off and pick up every day for Addie's school. I seriously miss the days when we could walk, especially when the weather is a gorgeous as it has been lately.

5. It's not that it's not impossible but I have some serious doubts that the Royals are going to make it into the post-season. They just haven't had a stellar season. However I am pulling for Moose to get at least one more home-run and get the Royals franchise record.

6. Turns out even with a new house, I still hate cleaning bathrooms...
