Making the Cut: Love Your Body

After finishing Ripped in 30, I was ready for a new program. I was also ready to try something new going back to Moms Into Fitness and moving away from Jillian Michaels for a while. There was a couple reasons for wanting the shift. The first was because I wanted the change from the intense Jillian Michaels to Lindsay Brin who reminds you throughout your workout that you give it as much as you have even if it is less than yesterday, it's still something.

The second reason behind choosing Moms Into Fitness and this program specifically was because I had a big doctor's appointment and I wasn't sure how it was going to and if they would tell me that I would have to take a break from exercise. I figured it wouldn't be so bad to be in the middle of a three week program and stop mentally than to be in the middle of a nine week program and feel like you lost all your momentum. I'll share more about that doctor's appointment later but the short of it is that I didn't have to take a break from working out so I was able to finish out this three week program.

I actually have never done this one before so I was looking forward to the complete change plus doing something new every day was exciting to me. I get bored easily so doing the same workout day after day isn't my cup of tea. So I was ready for something new.

And this turned out to be exactly what I needed. It was fun. It was quick. It moved quickly. I felt like I got a good workout without completely feeling dead. I liked that I didn't feel like I was being yelled at to do more. Yes, that's the goal, but she also acknowledges that some days you have more than other days. That's just reality. So on the days that I just had less, I wasn't constantly feeling bad that I wasn't doing more.

I enjoyed my three weeks as a whole. It was fun. It was different. It was a new pace. Overall I had a good time with this and actually it inspired me to stick with Moms Into Fitness for awhile for a change of pace.

I will admit that after these last three weeks there hasn't been a massive change of any kind. It was fun. It was good to be active. But there was definitely no massive body changes. It was pretty much just a way to stay active, not necessarily have a body overall. But I enjoyed my 5 am workout (as much as you can enjoy getting up at 5 am to workout) and that's always nice. It was a good transition workout as I try to figure out where I want to go next with my fitness goals too. I would definitely do this one again for sure.
