Friday Five

1. I recently got a new rug for the front door and I love it. The old rug was from the house and matched pretty well there but I had been wanting something bigger and lighter for awhile and I saw this one and loved it. It definitely fits so much better, in both shape and design.

2. Since we are getting closer to the school year starting, I have already started buying school supplies. Most were easy to find and I just ordered online, but as expected the disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer is almost impossible to find. However of course now I can't help but wonder if I'm going to need these supplies at all. I won't go into it but it's been six months since my kids have been in school and I'm tired.

3. We did a couple science experiments this week. First we did fizzing ice cubes. So I filled an ice cube tray with food coloring, baking soda and water then froze them. The next day I filled spray bottles with vinegar and we went outside for them to spray the ice cubes and watch them make a fizzy rainbow. They had a blast. Our second one was colored celery. I had some leafy celery so I cut the ends and put them into different cups of colored water then had the kids guess what was going to happen. We started seeing some changes an hour or so later but the biggest difference was definitely in the morning and it turned out really cool.

4. Rob and I recently watched through Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. The original show used to completely scare me as a kit from the stories to the theme song to the host's voice. It was all scary. But we decided to watch the reboot on Netflix and it was good. There were some stories that freaked me out more than others but I was definitely a bit disappointed that there was only six episodes. So if you are looking for something good to watch that is definitely worth a watch.

5. I watched the Royals play the other day and I loved it. I have really missed baseball. And my favorite part is the fact that they were using audience noises which included the crowd getting excited with a good play. I thought that was pretty funny.
