We stayed our evening with some good bonding time with Daddy. Since I stay home with her when Rob gets home he takes over. Well, tonight was no different. She laid across him and held on to his pinky while she slept. So cute!
That's my baby's costume! Everyone knows what she is?! Yup, she's a science officer in Star Trek. We have been watching a lot of Star Trek Voyager on Netflix lately, so naturally it only seemed fitting. Plus, we weren't planning on doing anything, but I felt like she should have something for her first Halloween. But she's so small that she doesn't fit into anything - can you tell that she's swimming in that blue onesie (it's a 3-month). Heck, she's swimming in newborn clothes too (not kidding - I have a tiny little girl - some trick-or- treaters asked if she was a preemie when they saw her).
The point is I wanted to have her in a costume that wasn't overly huge on her or spend a lot of money on because she's only 16 days old and has no idea, plus it's not like she can even hold up her own head yet.
If you ask me, she's the cutest science office from the academy! Live long and prosper!
She was making this face a bunch and it was a super cute. Probably because she's super cute!
Yes, I did actually get a decent picture of Rob with Addison, but because this is Halloween, it was only fitting to post the creepiest one.
Hey, I was there too!
For our Halloween eating tonight I made Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup. It was pretty good. In the next few days I'll post a 'HtBW' on this recipe, so you can create this super simple, wintery meal for yourself!
Don't they look awesome all lit on our front porch inviting trick-or-treaters. We actually got a decent amount. This was Rob's first time handing out candy and he did it like a pro!
Interesting fact: When he was growing up, they went out on Beggars Night and they would have to tell jokes and work for their candy. Apparently, we're lazy down here not having to work so hard but dress up, ring the doorbell, and say "Trick or Treat!" (And of course "thank you.")
And I just had to add this one in. This confirms without a doubt that she is Rob's kid. I love this little girl!
I may not be a huge fan of Halloween overall, but I couldn't resist dressing her up in some kind of costume for her first Halloween. As a side note, can you believe that it's already November? 'Tis the season to be thankful (then 'tis the season to be jolly - it's all coming so quickly!)!
