I have this fella. He's a bit of a geek. But he's pretty awesome. He likes things like computers and video games and sci-fi. This fella is a fan of shows like Futurama and The Walking Dead and Star Trek. This boy started turning on Star Trek and watching episodes from Star Trek: Voyager. And somehow I caught myself watching this show on a regular basis with him. This fella somehow got me addicted to Star Trek (and yes Futurama is a little funny as much as I hate to admit it - there I hope you're happy, boy!).
So by complete accident, this fella got me wanting to watch Star Trek and having favorite characters and getting excited about the new Star Trek movie coming out in the spring. This boy got me adding all the Star Trek shows and movies into my netflix (mostly all in instant queue - yay!).
So far me and this fella are in the second season of Star Trek: Voyager and in the third season of Star Trek: The Next Generation (with the remaining shows in the queue). And so far this girl's favorite characters are the doctor from Voyager and Data from The Next Generation.
This dang fella turned me into a Trekkie. And this dang fella is currently chuckling while reading this. Good thing I love this boy.
P.S. That's how Addie ended up being a science officer from Star Trek for Halloween this year.
