Her favorite thing to do other than avoid my camera is to roll in her crib when she's supposed to be napping. I'll put her down on her back and that's that. Then I'll go back to whatever I'm working on and I'll hear a horrible scream. I go in and peek at her (she's not always rolled over - she's figured out I'll come if she lets out a horrible enough scream, so I have to peek in to make sure she's actually fine without her seeing me). Most of the time, she's on her tummy where she doesn't want to be. I'll roll her back and often, and it's a game we play until she finally just falls asleep. She's a stinker.
Well, earlier this week during her nap time, we were playing this game. It was starting to feel like she knew exactly how long it took me to get down the stairs and back to whatever before she rolled. After doing it five or six times, I decided to stay in the room. I wasn't going to leave because I knew she was just going to roll again. So I walked out of the door then crept back in on my hands and knees. I waited by her crib, watching.
Sure enough, she rolled over. I popped up and flipped her right back over. Apparently she wasn't expecting it and I scared her. She popped out her bottom lip and started pouting. I calmed her down and left. She didn't roll over again. Apparently scaring her did the trick - no more rolling again that nap time again.
Have a great weekend!
Happy Friday!
