Our Anniversary Tradition // Happy Friday

If you read my blog on Wednesday then you know that we just celebrated our third anniversary. It's hard to believe, it's already been three years. But on the other hand it's hard to believe it's only been three years.

We don't usually do much for our anniversaries. For our one year anniversary, I was 21 weeks pregnant and we spent the entire day moving into our house. We ended up going out to eat, see a movie, and eat the top of our wedding cake the next day. For our two year anniversary, we had a 10 month old and now in need of babysitters to do anything. Of course grandparents are great for that kind of thing, but again all we did was go out to eat and see a movie.We aren't exactly the most original or exciting people ever. But it works for us so we just keep on keepin' on. 

However, every year we take our picture. I have seen people do this in different ways. I have seen people do it the way we do it. I have seen them just take a new picture every year. And there are people who don't take any pictures at all. Well, after we were married I saw this really cool idea on Pinterest and decided we were going to do it every year. And starting at one year we did. 

We have kept the tradition alive, all these three years and every year I love it more. 

It's a simple concept. You get a print large enough to really see what's going on. A 4x6 is just not going to work. Then on your one year anniversary you hold the picture while taking another picture. You frame the picture of you holding the picture and the next anniversary you hold that picture and take another picture. You get it right? 

Well, three years in and here's where we are....

And now, here we are three years in and we have another picture taken. So here it is. The picture that will hang in our sitting room for the next year.
