Dear Addie::
That number is getting closer and closer to 36 months and that's making me nervous. That means you are getting too close to 3. I guess there's nothing I can do to stop it from happening, so I'll just enjoy my 32 month old right now. Although you are a handful. You are definitely keeping me on my toes these days.
For the all the adorable things about you, you have a few things that are very two-years-old. You are have learned the art of stalling at bedtime by dropping to the floor as soon as the time goes off and crawling up to your room very slowly. You throw puppy on the ground then expect someone else to pick him up. You whine at bedtime because you don't want to get up and get your own water. You stand directly in front of the TV no matter where I sit. You want to snack all the time. You leave a trail of things in your wake.
But that doesn't mean we don't have fun. In fact we have a lot of fun. You are so playful and love to be on the move. The biggest problem I have is that if we have no where to go that day you get bored inside the house. You are far too obsessed with movies so we tend to battle a bit more those days because I don't think you need to watch a movie every day and you disagree. You like what you like and you get pretty stubborn about it.
But summer is finally here and we are spending a lot more time outside. You run around the backyard playing with her sand table or the little pool I set up. You keep yourself pretty busy outside. But unfortunately with summer comes the heat so we have to limit how much time we spend outside, which you aren't so fond of. You would spend all day outside but since it's hot and I can't get you out of your hat, I'm worried you are going to get overheated.
You are talking even more than last month. There are so many more words that I can understand. And lately you aren't being so practical. You are starting to talk even if there isn't a clear point to talking. You have mastered animal sounds, which is a new thing for you. And lately you have been counting to two. You are able to pronounce most of your colors now, but you don't always identify them by me just pointing to a color or asking you the color, but it's probably not far behind. Even though you still aren't where you are supposed to, you have come so far and every day you add another word into your vocabulary.
You are an amazing little kid. You impress me every day by what you can do and how far you have come. I am so proud of you. I love watching you change and grow. Stay awesome. I love you, little girl.
Love, Mama
