Although I tend to keep our marriage and relationship off the blog, I am thankful for him and I can't help but dote on him a little. I am so glad that he's mine. And here's some things I'm thankful for:
1 - He's my rock, my calming force and my voice of reason. This has been a tough couple of years for us. But he is as steady and solid as ever. Although he doesn't always know what to tell me when I'm having a bad day. And he doesn't always know that I want him to tell me things that I want to hear, he does tell me things I need to hear.
2 - He is an amazing dad. I love watching him with Addison. She adores him and he adores her right back. Although she has a whine that can get under your skin, he is patient with her. They love to play together. Addie's face just lights up when he gets home.
3 - His brain. The man is smart. We are very very different in so many ways, but one of those ways is the way our brains work. He is very practical and logical. I run on emotions. I know how things are and where I want them to end up when we are doing a project and he can figure out the middle. We are very yin and yang.
4 - He provides for our family. If you know our family at all, including following the blog, then you know that I stay at home with the kiddo. Which means he is our sole provider for this family. He works hard to give us the life that we have, and it's a good life. I am so proud of him and appreciate him for all that he does to take care of us.
5 - He's patient. I'm a very impatient person. My fuse is often short and I am not very trusting. But he patient. He deals with my crazy, which only seems to get worse with all the fertility drugs. He has a kind-heart. He laughs easily. He is just a good person.
Truthfully I just can't ever say enough about him. As much as the man drives me crazy, I don't know where I would be without him. He is a good man, a good husband, and a good father. I am so blessed to have him by my side the rest of my life.
I love you. And happy birthday!
xo, B
