Addison Sophia: 33 Months
Dear Addie::
I just want to say that you are an awesome little girl. You are sweet and understanding and funny and kind. You definitely have your two moments but mostly you are just a sweet kid. I was upset the other day and you stopped what you were doing, came up to me, patted my head and said "okay" over and over again. You knew that when you are upset, I hug you and tell you that you are okay, so that's what you did. It was so sweet.
You are doing so well with talking. You are even counting to three. I am just so proud of you and how far you have come. In such a short amount of time you can verbalize so much more. You can tell me what you want or express an opinion. No is definitely your most used word right now. You are just changing so much. You are still behind the other kids of the same age but you are progressing so well and will catch up in no time. You are just an amazing kid. You surprise me every day.
You are growing like a weed. I feel like every time you wake up you are a few inches taller. Not to mention that you are eating all the time. Of course we don't always see eye-to-eye about what you should be eating. Things have been out of whack for awhile but we are finally getting back on track and getting our healthy diet back. Plus I know if all else fails, just give you strawberries. You would eat an entire container in one sitting if I let you. You love them. You see me put them in the shopping cart and you get so excited.
You still love to watch movies but I have noticed that you have been wanting to be more active lately, which I am completely okay with. It's nice to have a movie for a backup plan if I need to get something done but I much rather you be running around the backyard or pushing your stroller around the driveway than just sitting in front of the TV. And you definitely aren't picky about what you do outside, you are just happy to be outside.
When are stuck inside because it's raining or too hot, you still go to your train set. You love to sit there and put track together. And if you get bored of that then your backup plan is to just make a mess apparently. Luckily you are a pretty good helper. You may take four times as long to clean up the mess, but you will help pick it all back up again. You move even slower helping when it's bedtime. It's one toy at a time in that case then a slow crawl up the stairs.
You are definitely going through an independent stage. You want to do more things yourself, and don't easily give up. Although you are a lot like me and get frustrated easily. But unlike me, you just keep going. You also tend to get more fearless and show that you can even more things by yourself when you are angry. You got mad the other day and got yourself completely dressed again, which you had never done. You tend to overthink things and are much more cautious normally but when you are upset or mad that all goes by the wayside.
I can never say enough how proud of you I am. You are so strong and so brave. You are so smart and will do amazing things with your life one day. I am so lucky to be your mom. I love you so much.
Love, Mama
