Saying Good-bye to Summer // Happy Friday

I know it has technically been fall for some time now, but I'm just now getting around to say our so-long to summer. I'm just a little behind. Blame it on the pregnancy brain. Blame it on a busy schedule. Blame it on the lack of paying attention to the fact that fall began last week sometime. Whatever the case I have been seriously slacking.

Well any case, summer is officially over. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sad to see it go. Although summer is a great time of the year. I love the freedom of wearing shorts and tank tops and not being overloaded by coats. I love that we can get out and about.

But the heat. Boy, I hate the heat!

By the time the middle of the summer rolls around, it's too hot to go outside and not sweat your butt off. So in the end you end up spending just as much time inside as if it were winter.

However, we are now finally in my favorite time of the year. It's fall! I love fall! It's cooling down so you can open up the house and be outside comfortably. The colors are beautiful. There is even a smell to the air that you don't get any other time of the year.

I have no love-lost about summer being gone but that doesn't mean we didn't have a great summer. So here are some of my favorite pictures from this summer.
