Our New House

Finally I am posting about the house including a house tour. But let me just say before you watch, my tour giving skills are seriously lacking. I sound awkward while doing it and I personally don't ever want to watch this again. But here's the house tour:

So since my house tour was a little messy and lacking and heck I didn't even completely turn on lights while walking through, but I do have pictures to go along with the video which I much rather look at than watch that video again! Yikes!

So a couple of things - this is a quick "walk-through" more or less so the pictures kind of suck. And yes there are messy parts of my house. Deal with it, we live here. I hope to eventually come through and do a better job of showing off the house and how we have decorated and all that. But that's just not today and today's fast and messy but here you go:

This is the view you see as soon as you walk in our front door.

The office which is just to the left of the front door. We thought about using it as a playroom but we love having the office space right here on the main level.

Dining room - This is just to the right of the front door when you walk in.

Living room which is always messy. I have a plan for the mantel but we had a falling problem so it'll come. And of course toys - always with the toys!

Kitchen - I love the kitchen. To the right of the fridge is a walk in pantry. I love having so much space and I have a crazy amount of storage space and counter space now. I'm loving it!

Our eat-in kitchen that goes out to the backyard. The yard is smaller than than last but we should still have room to put up the playhouse and swingset. Plus Rob is good with it because it means that there is less to mow! We also plan to put up a fence but just haven't gotten to dealing with it yet.

Basement - This is something that I didn't show on the video because there just isn't much to see. We mostly just have stuff everywhere. At some point we plan to finish it including another bedroom and a bathroom and lots of storage space. But this will all be dealt with at another point. Oh and ignore the litter box in the second picture - we have to put it somewhere!

Addison's messy room - The first room you get to when you come up the stairs to the left is Addie's room. She is loving it. Clearly she is very comfortable here because her room is pretty much a wreck but it is what it is.

Jack & Jill Bathroom - Between Addie's room and Connor's room is a bathroom which is perfect for them. It has a tub and toilet and lots more space than they need at this point.

Connor's room - He has really stepped up in size from his last room. I still have to put up a vinyl for his room but I haven't gotten there yet. He's pretty comfortable here too. There has been no adjustment problems at all.

Master Bedroom - We are across the hall from the kid's rooms. We have a little sitting nook and a nice big bathroom and closet now. We are definitely loving it!

Laundry room - It's on the bedroom level and I love it!

Fourth Bedroom/Playroom - We will eventually use this room as a bedroom if/when we decide to get pregnant again but for now it's a great playroom (it's at the very end of the hallway). This bedroom has it's own bathroom as well.

So there you have it. I know it's not the best post and it's honestly very rushed. But here it is and I will eventually get it together and put together a better post about the rooms and how they are decorated. It will happen but we are in a crazy place in our lives so it might just have to wait.

But here it is - our house. And in case you were wondering, we love love love it here!
