Dear Connor:
I can't believe how big you are getting. Your sister keeps talking about you being a baby but I look at you and know that you certainly aren't a baby anymore. I need you to stop growing. But still I know that won't happen, I'm just going to go along for the ride.
You are such a fun little boy. You have so much energy and light. And did I mention boundless energy? Your interest these days range from playing with your Avengers action figures to reading books. You are always lining up trains and wheeling them around. You run around with your dinosaurs roaring. You crash cars into each other. Lately all you want to do it go outside and play, especially bubbles. It will definitely be nice when the weather is nice on a regular basis so we can spend so much more time outside for you to get your running and bubbling in.
Right now your favorite movie and book is The Incredibles. You love other movies, but you definitely sit still the longest through that movie. You pretty much adore all books which I'm not mad about. I want you to love books and have a great love of reading.
You have pretty much stayed the same. You are still an awesome sleeper, napping about 2 hours a day and sleeping about 10-12 hours at night. Your eating is so-so these days. As per most 2 year olds, you pretty much only want to snack. I'm trying to get those snacks as healthy as possible, but you are definitely my picky eater. We are doing our best though and you at least try pretty much everything I push on your plate at least, so I'll take what I can get.
Lately you have been all about mama. Most of the time you won't even let your dad read or put you down at night. You will just scream and scream until you get mama. You dad is doing his best to use those opportunities to get you talking, and you are desperate enough that you would try to say anything. It definitely wears me out some, but you are my buddy and one day you won't want me around all the time so I'll take it while I can.
Your talking is still pretty so-so. You have days where you are trying to communicate through words all day long, but then you have days where you just don't talk. It's definitely a mixed bag. You know plenty of words but getting you to talk has been a challenge. It has helped that your sister has mostly stopped talking for you. We are making progress through and I'll take what I can get from you.
You are such an amazing little boy. Our family definitely wouldn't be complete without you. You are handsome and funny and definitely keep us on our toes. I love you so much, goon.
Love, Mama
