1. I wear one of my husband's t-shirts, usually an old Marine shirt, and a pair of his boxers to bed every night. I always think about getting an actual pair of pajamas but I can't seem to spend the money when I have something that works. Not to mention I just can't find the right thing.
2. My hands smell like garlic 85% of the time.
3. I taught myself to cook by a lot of trial and error but also watching a lot of Food Network.
4. When I cut my fingernails, I clutch my jaw.
5. My least favorite holiday is Halloween. My kids love it but I really hate it and I'm always glad when it is finally over every year.
6. I loved playing Sims 3 and have several Sims 4 packs but I don't play it as often as I would like sometimes. It usually just because I lack the time.
7. I actually hate the newborn stage. I struggle a lot with motherhood until about 6 months when they at least start sitting up by themselves. Then I struggle with the stage where they just are always clinging to you then it evens out at about a year for me.
8. I prefer wearing contacts but in the winter my eyes get so dry that it's almost impossible for me to wear anything but glasses.I have yet to find contacts that work with my crazy dry winter eyes so I deal with only wearing contacts on and off.
9. I have small wrists. I can touch my thumb and pink around my wrist. Often regular stuff is too small for my wrist and kids things actually fit me just fine.
10.I haven't dyed my hair for a few years now and after having Emma I was feeling antsy and unsettled. I tend to have a lot of issues with postpartum hormones and anxiety and some depression. Basically I wanted a change. So I decided I wanted to do something really different and dyed the bottom of my hair teal for a change. I didn't love it at first but the longer I had it and the more it merged with my normal hair color the more I actually love it. (Also in this picture it is faded quite a bit, right after I do it is is really bright and less green like and more teal.)
11. Growing up I used to play a game called Titanic: Adventure Out of Time. I loved it and when we were sorting through video games we came across it. I loved it so much I couldn't part with it even though I can't play because our computers couldn't support it. Rob figured out a way to make it work even though it wasn't great. Then I realized I could play with via Steam (a video game service) and I was all over it. It has been fun trying to remember how to play it.
12. When I was younger I really wanted blue eyes and even had color contacts for awhile (they were contacts I actually needed to see but had a color to it). As I have gotten older I have come to love my green eyes. Turns out green eyes aren't dominant and are unique. None of my kids have green eyes and I'm still holding out hope that Emma's will change to green (no dice yet).
13. I get hot at night but I have a fear of putting my foot outside the covers. I once got woken up by Connor shaking my foot that way and haven't been able to put my leg outside the covers again.
14. I don't like yoga. I don't have yoga patience. It's just not my idea of a good, fun workout.
15. One day I was talking to my dad about a movie. As we talked about the movie, he said Morgan Freeman died. I was taken aback but said nothing at the time. Later when we got home I looked up Morgan Freeman and realized much to my relief that he was still alive. I was seriously upset up for a few hours thinking Morgan Freeman had actually died. I figured out that my dad was talking about the character not the actor.
16. I am afraid of being stung by a jellyfish or a bee.But I try to remind myself I have had three kids - the last one being a natural birth (not by choice) and went through knee surgery. I'm tougher than I think.
17. My favorite movie for many many years in my early teens was Titanic. I was a huge Leo fan.
18. I hate germs, to the point where I struggle to use public bathrooms. Traveling is hard for me because all I see is germs.
19. I am terrible at doing makeup. I would love to be able to do makeup and actually have it look good but I just suck at it. I think my problem is my combination of my inability to do it plus not buying either the right or the best products to do the job I want.
20. I am also terrible at hair. I just can't figure out how to make my hands work (but that's a life problem) to have my hair look decent. Plus it's so stupid thin that I just don't know what to do about it.
21. I love rainy days. I'm not such a fan of them when I have to do pick up and drop off because then I have to mess with raincoats and umbrellas but I do prefer rainy days to right sunny ones. Also I prefer my winter days to be overcast so it doesn't give the illusion that it is any kind of warm outside.
22. I always start off the night really cold but often end up waking up in the night sweating. I sleep next to my husband the furnace and we have to stay on opposite sides of the king bed otherwise I'm just too hot in the middle of the night (and as we already learned I can't put my foot outside the covers).
23. I am not a very tidy person. I wish I was but that's just not me.
24. In my free time I read, play Sims or play with planners and stickers.
25. I am not a big fan of digital. I love writing things down. I love having a calendar and a planner. That's how my brain works and it makes a huge difference in how productive I am by actually writing a to-do list each day in my planner. Especially since I have a business plus three kids.
26. I own a planner sticker business. I don't talk about it much but it is successful and a nice supplemental income for our family. Plus I enjoy doing it.
27. When we travel, I always sleep terrible. For one because I don't have my own pillows which includes my knee pillow (I sleep with a pillow between my knees) but also because if the comforter/blanket is too heavy then I feel trapped and I don't like the weight on my knee.
28. I spent most of my childhood and teenage years hating how tall I was. I don't necessarily love it now - finding cute tall clothes is really hard - but I don't hate it quite as much as I once did.
29. My favorite author is Nora Roberts. I like that her books are more or less predictable like a Hallmark Christmas movie. But I love them. I don't really care to read books that I have to really think about. I just want to read something I enjoy and don't have to think really hard about.
30. Speaking of Hallmark Christmas, I love me some Hallmark Christmas. I watched so much after my knee surgery and have been hooked since. Rob hates them but he tolerated them because he loves me.
31. I don't drink near enough water. I'm trying to get better but I'm so bad at it.
32. I don't really use Facebook. I post my pictures from Instagram (which I do love Instagram). And I put up my blog post but that's just about it.
33. I am very rarely barefoot. I don't like stepping on things with my bare feet. Going to the beach is hard for me. Walking on the sand is mostly fine but once I get into the water, I don't like to step on things I don't know what I'm stepping on and you can't see once you are in the water so it freaks me out. And when I'm in the house, I don't like to step on crumbs with my barefeet (and let's be honest I have three kids so there is always crumbs) so I pretty much always have socks on.
