Rob
This man never takes a day off. Okay so he has taken quite a few days off since I last wrote one of these since Christmas was in there and he took an entire week off. But lately through January - the month of 85 days - he's been pretty dang busy. There is some big project that he's working on that is trying to wrap up this month so he's just been working and doing more working. It's quite the way to punch 2020 in the face I guess. He had been working on organizing the garage around the house after getting a new workbench for woodworking, but it's been so stinking cold that he hasn't been doing much of that lately. He's pretty much doing the same old things - working, playing with kids, video games as downtime and sleeping.
Becca
I've actually been really busy lately working. My shop is going really well. I may not love every part of it because let's just be honest bookkeeping isn't my thing. Nor is printing and cutting all that fun but designing is a lot of fun. Things have been going well with the shop for sure. Otherwise it's all about being a mom. Three kids are always a lot of work but when they aren't feeling good it's even more work and balance. I've been mostly just in my routine of housework (which I still hate and not good at), shop work, and being a mom.
Addison
Addison is doing so well. She just recently took part in a cheer clinic. She brought home a sheet from school and asked to do it. I told her that she might not know anyone. And she told me that she didn't care. She wanted to do it anyway because she wanted to try something new. I was so proud of her. So she went to it on a Saturday morning then they did a chant and a little dance routine during the middle school basketball game. She did so good and I'm proud of her for just wanting to try something new. She has been doing so well at school. She is loving it but she just loves to learn. My girl loves herself some math and reading. The reading she got from me, the love of math was definitely not.
Connor
Poor Connor has been sick lately. He missed a couple days of school due to being sick. He hasn't really had a fever but he just doesn't feel good. We kept him home because those preschool germs are everywhere and we didn't want to share ours. He's been a little bummed because he does love school though but he's slowly getting better. We recently did a mega clean on his room and it is so much better. He needed more room in his room for his hot wheel city because he is all about hot wheels. He builds the coolest paths and adds in dinosaurs and animals and so many cars. He also has been building some awesome train tracks lately. The way his brain thinks is pretty dang awesome. His problem solving skills as a three year is amazing (although I can't say that for much longer because he's almost my four year old!)
Emma
Miss Emma either has the same thing that Connor has - which is possible - or those dang teeth are bothering her again. Maybe both!? All I know that she's been a little under the weather too. She's not quite been acting like herself which is always sad when your baby doesn't feel so good. Although she's not so much a baby anymore. She's a toddler and I'm in denial. That girl is growing so fast and changing so quickly. She is walking around everywhere. She doesn't do a lot of talking yet but she has two big siblings that do plenty of that. I do get so many comments about how happy she is and if she's always that way, and unless she's hungry, pretty much. She is just so happy and easy going.
Stella
Stella is Stella. A couple weeks ago, she was acting really hungry so before Rob went to work he gave her a little dry food (she gets a can of wet food at night). Then after he left she started crying. It was loud and terrible sounding for about ten minutes. She wouldn't come to me though so I didn't know what to do. I felt awful for her. I talked to Rob and we decided that maybe her dry food was too hard on her tummy and she wasn't feeling good. So I put some wet food in her bowl. She came running and seemed fine. I was so confused but then I discovered that she had pooped on the floor. I figured the dry food was too hard on her (she is an older cat now) and she felt better after she got it out. I cleaned it up and we decided to get her some older cat dry food for when we have to give her dry food. Then a couple days later we discovered by accident that she had once again pooped on the floor. Rob went downstairs to check on her litter box and discovered the basement door closed. And that's when we realized what had happened. On Thursday morning we had had our furnace checked and the tech had closed the door behind him. We discovered the door closed on Sunday midday. The poor cat had no access to her litter box for days and she was bursting. Somehow she didn't pee anyway but we couldn't blame her if she had. Once we opened the door, all was fine again but we felt pretty awful for not checking the dang door. She's fine now and no more accidents. All is good now!
