Friday Five

1 - We cleaned out garage last weekend when the weather was nice. It's not perfect but it is so much better and the amount of things just sitting around is way less which makes me feel so much better!

2 - Emma is completely and totally obsessed with the stairs. She can go up like a pro but then she tries to walk down them. It's a mess. And quite frankly for someone who has some leg issues, it's exhausting. We didn't want to buy gates just for this house because it's expensive and she's out last one so I was toughing it out. But last week I finally had enough and made my own gate. It seems to work although every once in awhile she thinks she can crawl through. It wouldn't be so bad if she wouldn't think the stairs were a game. I hate to say it but I think the only way she's going to learn that it's not safe is by falling down them and since I'm trying to avoid that, I just have to give it time. I hate this makeshift gate setup - it's a pain in the rear end but it works so I'm going with it for now because what else can I do?!

3 - Addison started dance this week. She previously did a ballet/tap combo class at the local community center but that only lasted a couple months. She liked it well enough but didn't ask to do it again. It's been over a year since she did it but a month or so ago she bought home a sheet for a cheer clinic at the middle school. She wanted to do it so we thought it would be a great way for her to try something out. She had a great time. After I asked her if there was an activity she wanted to do and she said ballet. So we stared looking around for a class for her. I found one at a local gym which is ongoing - so when she decides she's done she can be done. Well she stared that class this week and she loved it. The class size is smaller and it's just a beginner class but she had a great time.

4 - We have been loving this warmer spring weather. I forgot how annoying the wind can be but whatever. I don't have to bundle up Emma quite as much as she is loving it. I didn't mind the heavy coats but man I was done forcing those little hands into those mittens. I'm not going to lie, it's been nice going without the heavy coat too because she was quite the puffy marshmallow in that coat but she was also a pretty dang adorable marshmallow.

5 - I'm very tired....

 And I can't imagine why...
