Three Ladies & Their Gents: Summer 2020 Edition

Rob

I'm pretty sure he's never going back to work. I mean I know he's working, but I'm not sure he'll ever actually go back to work at this point. So he just continues to work from home. That's really mostly what he spends his time on - imagine that. Beyond that it has been little things around the house. He really hasn't been up to much else. I finally decided on what I wanted for the end tables he's been building for me, so he should be able to keep working on those again soon.

Becca

I have been up to much of the same. Between the mom thing and business thing I have been pretty busy and tired. It's been a bit odd because I have been working on Halloween design lately and we are definitely not to Halloween yet. But just like with stores and holidays, I have to stay ahead. Sometimes it's just hard to stay motivated. Otherwise I have been working through cleaning the house with a new routine. So far it's going really well and I am not feeling so overwhelmed with trying to keep things cleaner. Otherwise it's just a lot of the same. Feeling a bit down with the fact that this doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon, but just trying to get through it and keep myself busy.

Addison

Addison is so ready to go back to school. Or go anywhere for that matter. She actually loves wearing her mask which is a good thing considering she'll be wearing one at school whenever it is that they go back. She finished doing her 2nd grade workbook already and we have been going through it. That girl continues to shock me to how fast she picks up on things. She has also been big on all things art right now. She just wants to create and make as much art as she can. She is really doing well all things considered but she is antsy and ready to go back to school.

Connor

Connor is all over the place. He's got so much energy and no clue what to do with it. He loves to play outside but it's too hot. He wants to play Lego but he struggles to put the sets together himself. He needs more structure to his day and is ready for school, but at the same time not. Connor can be the most exhausting kid in the world and also the sweetest. He is the best brother. Emma completely adores her big brother.

Emma

Emma is something else. She is seriously hilarious. She is so curious and in to everything. She is a snuggle monster and just loves to cuddle. Lately she has been all about books. She is always bringing them to us to read and sometimes even takes them to Addie to read to her which Addie loves. This girl doesn't lack on personality. Emma also completely wears me down. I have ponytail holders (our makeshift baby locks on cabinets) on everything because she gets into everything including the pantry where she is learning to get food for herself. Sometimes she struggles with having to share so much with the big kids and misses the time where they were at school and she got more one on one time.

Stella

I think Stella wishes we would just give her the biggest bowl of cat food and just leave the house. She mostly just lays upstairs on the bed in the same room while Rob works. She figures it's the safest place for her, which she's not wrong. Lately Emma has been more curious about Stella and Stella's not loving all the extra attention. But mostly Stella just chugs along doing her Stella thing. Lately she's got the best deal of the bunch. A lot of lazy days for that cat.
