1. I desperately need a new pillow. I haven't been sleeping well and I know the pillows I have aren't all of my problems but they definitely don't help matters, but I have a hard time buying a new pillow. First I ended up going cheap which I think does me no good. But I have a hard time paying a lot of money for one of those really fancy pillows because I worry that it will be waste of money and not be any better for me. Then I want to make sure if I am going to spend the money that I am getting the best pillow but I have no idea what the best pillow would be. Who knew that pillow buying would be so stressful?!
2. I don't have much in fall decorations, but I have a small little thing on my kitchen table. I like it. But so does the cat. Ever since I put up my little vase with my fake plastic flowers, Stella has been insistent on trying to eat the fake plant. I don't get it. It's driving me nuts but she's not giving up that's for sure.
3. So if you have been following me at all then you know that I have been doing some decorating around the house. One of the recent changes we made are some pictures up in our kitchen. I had been having trouble deciding what I wanted in there, but then I found these simple line drawings of herbs. And I knew that was it. It turned out to be a pain for Rob it actually get up but I love how it turned out.
4. We have been able to have our windows open lately and it has truly been amazing. I think we are going through our last warm spell right now then the temperatures drop again and it will officially feel like fall. I am beyond excited. I am done with heat. I'm done with shaving - even just the bottom part of my leg for leggings. I'm done with just sweating. I feel a bit bad for the rest of the street because I'm sure they can hear all the noise my kids produce but it really has been nice having the house opened up.
5. I recently went through and touched up spots on the walls all over the house. For some stupid reason the builders didn't use washable paint on family homes (cheaper I guess) which meant we have some pretty dirty walls. I wanted to touch up a couple spots in Connor's room from where he ripped something off the wall and since I poured the paint I started roaming the house looking for spots. I didn't have to look far. The amount of hand prints in this house is insane. You would think I have twenty kids - not just three! The touch-ups aren't perfect but they are so so so much better. Or at least I don't cringe every time I walk down the stairs with all the hand prints.
