How to Boil Water: A Week of Dinners

I cook probably 98% of the time during the month. It's just what I do, like it or not. I just cook. Its healthier and cheaper in the long run. There is definitely no complaint from Rob. He loves coming home to a home-cooked meal. In fact every day we are the typical 1950 family. Kid at home playing. Husband comes from work. Wife in the kitchen cooking, putting dinner on the table when husband walks through the door. And it doesn't bother me. I cook. We eat. We clean up. And it all starts over again the next day.

Back in June I posted about our dinners for a week. Well, I'm back to do it again.

Monday: Sliced Chicken with Apples & Pears + Cooked Spinach

Tuesday: Farfalle with Sausage & Zucchini

Wednesday: Potato Fish Skillet + Green Beans (recipe here)

Thursday: Lobster Bisque + Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits (recipe for the lobster bisque is here and recipe for the biscuits here)

Friday: Papa John's

Saturday: Broccoli Cheese Soup + Breadsticks

And Sunday I forgot to take a picture of, but we had Ozark Sloppy Joe's and potato wedges. I know, I dropped the ball. But you can't completely blame me, Sunday's meal was one of my favorites. I know, me liking sloppy joe's is crazy, but it's true.

So that was last week's meals. Nothing crazy fancy. We tried a couple new recipes, but otherwise it's all old beans for us. If you are interested in any of the recipes, just let me know and I'll share them. My personal favorites from the week were the potato fish skillet and the sloppy joe's, which seem insane because I've never been crazy about fish or sloppy joe's but both are delicious. One of Rob's favorites was the chicken with apples and pears.

So there you go...Not sure how to wrap this up. Our meals. I should probably plan next week's meals now. So happy eating!
