Around the House // Happy Friday

I used to do these every now and again when we were at the old house but this is the first one at this house so who's pumped about seeing what we have been up to around here. Well don't get too excited, it's been nothing exciting.

Screens in Office Windows

This may seem like a silly one, but something that wasn't noticed by anyone was our office windows didn't have screens. I was a bit upset about this one because that meant we couldn't open the windows in there. Even though we were originally told that the builders couldn't do anything and give us the screens, we were later told that they would put the screens in after all. So that was definitely a good thing to be able to have those screens and actually be able to open those windows.

Vinyl on Connor's Wall

At our old house, I had a vinyl on Connor's room that said 'Just Keep Swimming.' This was an important saying that meant a lot to me while we were trying to get pregnant with him, so when we moved I wanted to put that back up on the wall.

Of course it was a couple of years ago that I found that vinyl and I couldn't find it again, so I made it myself because I have a Silhouette. I didn't do the best job putting it up because I couldn't find my transfer paper, but I think it looks pretty good and I haven't heard any complaints from Connor, so I think it's fine.

New Canvas and Letterboard

For the last three years, I have had the same family canvas from Addison's second birthday. For one reason or another I had avoided getting a new canvas but once he turned two I was determined to finally get a canvas that included Connor. And I am in love with how this canvas turned out.

I also got myself a new letterboard because it's fun. I change the saying every now and again and have enjoyed finding something that either makes me laugh or that is relevant to what is going on currently in our lives. (And yes in case you were wondering I had been having sock problems.)

Hanging Measuring Cups & Spoons

Just like at the old house I had my measuring cups and spoons hung up. Most the actual measurements are worn off so by hanging them it makes it easier to grab what you need (especially for Rob who doesn't cook on a regular basis...or ever). And I finally got those hung up and man it makes life so much easier!

So that's all we got now. There probably won't be too many of these because we don't have to do too much to do around the house. However I am still on the lookout for some new decor for around the house so I will definitely share as I find those things.
