Friday Five

1 - We just recently got a Nintendo Switch. I had been really wanting to play Animal Crossing and we decided that since we are stuck at home that this would be a fun time for something new. So we got it and so far we have had a blast with it. I am loving Animal Crossing which by the way my character is named Ace after my kids and I named my island Asgard because I love Thor. It has been a blast. We also got Untitled Goose Game which is a hilarious game that the kids love watching Rob play. Plus we got Mario Kart which is so different than the Wii version and a little trippy to do but it's a lot of fun. We definitely think it was worth the money especially in light of everything. It keeps things fun when we can't go anywhere.

2 - I miss baseball.

3 - I had a sale this last weekend in my shop and this was by far the best sale I've had. I have been super busy all week working on orders. That has been made harder since the kids aren't going to school. But we are into a routine now and it is working out okay. This sale was definitely a nice pick me up considering everything that is going on right now even if it has kept me really busy this week.

4 - We bought a big outside umbrella too. We live in a new neighborhood so we don't have much in the way of trees which makes the backyard super hot. I am excited about having the umbrella for the backyard because it will make all this staying at home and spending lots of time in the backyard business a little more manageable. I just hate sitting in the sun so I'm excited about this summer now and letting the kids roam outside and play in the blow-up swimming pools.

 5 - Emma has been obsessed with going up the stairs again since Rob has been working from home. It's really quite exhausting because as as you can imagine she is a stubborn little girl and refuses to listen when I tell her no - I mean she is only one. So we have had to get creative in blocking her off. I originally used dining room chairs to block her off but then that gave her better access to the Lego that the big kids have been playing with on the dining room table. Then I used kitchen chairs but she started climbing our counter-high chairs which was a terrifying moment. So Rob used some extra PVC-pipe and we built ourselves a gate. Of course we also had to wrap the blanket around it since she could fit right through because he didn't have enough to make the bars closer but whatever works.
