Okay, so no. There's a point. My point is that my readership has gone up and maybe not everyone knows me. So I thought now is a good time to introduce myself. Or for some of you reintroduce.
Hi. My name is Becca. Technically Rebecca but I go by the former. But if we're being honest, I'll probably answer to anything but Becky. I'll just plain ignore you if you call me that. I've had a lot of nicknames in my life and I'll go by any one of them but that just ain't one of them.
I married this really cool guy on June 25, 2011. Check out my one year later Wedding Week here, , here, here, and here.) He's kinda awesome. We met online through match.com and haven't looked back since. Yeah we are one of those annoying success stories. He made me a software engineer wife, which is probably less exciting as the fact that I am also a Marine wife. In general that man just keeps me on my toes. I honestly don't know where I would be without him.

We also have this beautiful little girl, born October 15, 2012. She has completely changed my world, especially since I became a stay-at-home mom. My life has definitely gone down a road I never could have imagined and all because I have this beautiful and wonderful little girl. We have gone through some hard times with Addison due to a regression, but as a family we kept pushing ahead. Luckily she started progressing again. And now she's walking, becoming a normal two year old, and slowly learning to talk now at almost 28 months. She keeps me on my toes and makes life fun.
I have gone through my own string of heartbreaks recently with two miscarriages. (At 5 Week 6 Days and Through It All) We started trying to expand our family in March of 2014 but this has definitely taken a turn we never expected. But we stood together and continue trying, believing that it will happen for us.
I'm a fairly open book. I write about our lives on the internet so I put it all out there. I believe in keeping some things private and that it's best to keep your relationship/marriage off social media. I married one man, not that man and my 200 friends and his 200 friends. I read a lot. I can't think of a time when I didn't have a book started. I write in my journal everyday; in fact I have been keeping a journal since I was in 6th grade so more than half of my life. I really liked movies and love watching the previews. I have a weakness for movie theater popcorn. I hate winter and get the blues every year. I love to write, which is part of the reason I started this blog.
You can also read more about me in the page above (Who Runs This Show Anymore?) or check out 27 Things I Have Learned, and 28. Then of course come back every day and do some reading, that's the quickest way to learn more about me and my family and our lives.
So now you know me or at least the basics. Welcome to Defying Gravity and our beautiful mess.
xo, B
